Italian made sideplated boxlock ejector 12 gauge sporting shotgun. The 30" blued MaxisBore chrome lined barrels are fitted with 3"
chambers, Caesar Guerini's 5" DuoCon forcing cones, tapered and ventilated top rib (10mm - 8mm) and ventilated center rib, Bradley style white front sight, steel middle bead and Caesar Guerini's extended length Competition MaxisChoke multi chokes. According to Caesar Guerini both “Maxisbore” and “DuoCon” make it possible to increase pellet velocity, reduce misshaping and decrease felt recoil. The action incorporates Caesar Guerini's innovative Invictus System. With this revolutionary system, the INVICTUS CAMS take the place of trunnions and are fixed to the barrel monoblock, not the action. Replacement is now much easier for gunsmiths without specific technical training or specialized tools. The INVICTUS SYSTEM does not stop at the hinge replacement, but it goes above and beyond. As a matter of fact it makes it possible to eliminate any play in the lower barrel lug area by replacing the INVICTUS BLOCK - the gun is now like new! The hand polished coin finished action body with Invisalloy™ protective coating is hand engraved by Bottega C Giovanelli with fantasy scenes of Grotesques adorned with gemmed colored inserts, supported by foliate scrolls with gold inlays on stippled ground. "CAESAR GUERINI" is on both sides of the action body and "INVICTUS IX' is on the Underside. The trigger plate is engraved near the trigger guard signed "Bottega C Giovanelli" on right and "MADE IN ITALY" left side. The engraved and gold inlayed trigger guard extends to a long similarly engraved bottom strap. The gun is equipped with a gold washed, smooth single selective inertia trigger utilizing Caesar Guerini's DPS trigger system which is adjustable for take-up, over travel and length of pull of adjustments. The extra select walnut stock is oil finished, has a pistol hand grip, 14-3/14" to 15-1/8" LOP at center to a 1/2" black Caesar Guerini rubber recoil pad. The round Winged fore-end is fit with Caesar Guerini's newly patented DTS ACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. This system improves competition shooters’ comfort while opening and closing their shotguns, the fore-end iron has been re-designed to include a newly patented mechanism called the DTS ACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. By using a 3 mm Allen wrench that comes with every shotgun, shooters are now able to make adjustments to increase or decrease the friction between the fore-end and action. This allows the gun to open easier if desired or can be used to compensate for wear over time. Additionally, the surface area between the fore-end iron and barrel lug has been increased resulting in enhanced durability. Each shooter is now in complete control of the opening and closing force and no longer needs to compromise with a shotgun that is either too hard when new or too loose when old. Weight of gun is 8 Lbs. 13 Oz. The shotgun is presented in the maker's Thermo Wooden ABS case with fit Interior, velvet stock sleeve and barrel sleeve. Accessories inside the case include: stock and trigger wrenches, choke case, and friction choke wrench.
