A 12 Gauge Boxlock ejector shotgun from 1916. It has a 30” nitro proved barrels with crossbolt third fastener and a flat top rib. The right barrel is marked Charles Boswell, the left barrel is marked 126 Strand, London, W.C. Modern Birmingham Nitro proof with the proper reproof marks from 1972, Modern proved for 2 3/4" cartridges at proof pressure of 3 1/4 Tons per square inch, Chokes at Full & Full. Scrolls with trace of case color finish, Side Clips, Double triggers, Best quality walnut stock with drop points, traditional English straight hand grip, Splinter forend with Anson release, 14 3/4" LOP over a 1” Kick-Eez rubber recoil pad, Cast Off 1/4” at face, 7 Lbs. 12 Oz. The shotgun is presented in a canvas case with accessories. Charles Boswell resided at 126 Strand, London between 1883 and 1921.
