A hammerless ejector game gun with two barrel sets in 20 gauge. The 26" barrels are fit with ejectors, 3" chambers, tapered matted flat top rib with a steel front bead sight and choked Improved Cylinder & Modified. The 28" barrels are fit with ejectors, 3" chambers, tapered matted flat top rib with a steel front bead sight and choked Modified and Full. The left barrels are marked "J PURDEY & SONS" while the right barrels are marked "AUDLEY HOUSE, SOUTH AUDLEY STREET, LONDON, ENGLAND." All barrels with London nitro proof marks. The action body and lockplates are adorned with traditional rose & scroll pattern engraving with a case color hardened finish. The bottom of the action body is engraved "J PURDEY & SONS LONODN ENGLAND". The sidelock action features assisted opening mechanism, disc-set strikers, cocking indicators, automatic safety with engraved and checkered safety slide and a single non-selective triple pull trigger that is protected by an engraved right side rolled edge trigger guard. Best quality walnut stock with pistol hand grip, slender beavertail forend with Anson style push button release. 14-1/2" LOP to a 5/8" leather covered recoil pad. 6 Lbs 2 Oz - with 26" barrels and 6 Lbs 4 Oz - with 28" barrels. The shotgun is presented in the makers leather motor case.
