A 12 bore game gun with 30" dovetail lump blacked round nitro proved barrels that are fit with ejectors, spade rib extension, tapered smooth concave game rib and a brass bead front sight. The rib is engraved with "JAMES WOODWARD & SONS. 64 ST JAMES'S STREET. LONDON. S.W." and a gold-inlaid "2" near the breech. Chambered for 2-1/2" cartridges and choked cylinder & improved modified. The action body is engraved with English Arabesque scrolls with a patina finish. Both the right and left sides of the action body are engraved "J. WOODWARD & SONS.". The A&W boxlock action is fit with double triggers, disc-set strikers, intercepting sears, an engraved top lever with "PATENT" engraved, left side checkered thumbpiece and automatic safety with "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and scored safety slide. Best quality walnut stock with English straight hand grip, vacant stock oval and splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release. 15" LOP to a checkered butt, 6 Lbs. 10 Oz. Gun resides in an associated single leather case.
