An English made Boxlock Double Rifle chambered for the .475 No 2 cartridge. The 24" blacked chopper lump Krupp Gussstahl barrels are fit with extractors, doll's head rib extension third fastener, machined quarter rib with express rear sights - 1 lined standing (100 Yds) and 4 folding (200, 300, 400 & 500 Yds), white tipped blade front sight and an eye for sling on the underside. The scalloped-back boxlock action with trace case color hardened finish is adorned with African game scenes. The right side is engraved with a cape buffalo standing in tall grass, while the left side is engraved with a cape buffalo standing in tall grass ready to charge and on the trigger guard an elephant standing on the plains ready to charge. While the blacked cover plate on the bottom of the action body is adorned with English Arabesque scrolls. The action is fit with disc set strikers, gas escapes, double triggers, non-auto safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' ahead of the checkered safety slide and blacked top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece being checkered. The reddish-brown best quality walnut stock with tiger stripe figure has a pistol hand grip with a full length bottom strap with serial number to a hard rubber grip cap, point pattern checkering, vacant stock oval and an eye for sling. The splinter fore-end with Anson style push button release is similarly checkered. 14-1/2" LOP to a 7/8" Silver's style rubber recoil pad, 11 Lbs. 2 Oz.
