English made 12 gauge boxlock ejector game shotgun. The 28” blacked steel barrels that are fit with ejectors, 2-3/4” chambers, tapered smooth concave game rib with extension, a brass bead front sight and are choked Cylinder and Full. Top of rib near breech is roll marked "ROWLAND WATSON" . BIRMINGHAM . ENGLAND". Top of the right barrel is roll marked "FOLSOM ARMS CO NEW YORK" while the top of the left barrel is roll marked "U.S AGENTS". Barrel flats have Birmingham nitro proof marks. Trace case color and grey patina scalloped back boxlock action is adorned with game scene vignettes with supporting English Arabesque scrolls with 'ROWLAND WATSON' on both sides of the action body. Left side of the action body with 4 pheasants in a field and the right side with an English Pointer standing. Bottom of the action body with faded blacked cover plate and English Arabesque Scrolls. The action body is fit with a third fastener, double triggers protected by a blacked and engraved trigger guard which extends to a bottom strap that is similarly engraved with serial numbers, top lever is blacked, engraved and the left side of the thumb piece is checkered, "SAFE" in gold ahead of the automatic checkered safety slide. Best quality honey colored walnut stock with nice figure, straight hand grip, drop points, fine checkering and a vacant stock oval. Splinter fore-end with matching checkering and Anson type push button release, scroll engraved escutcheon and pin, 14-3/8" LOP to a brown basketweave pattern Pachmayr rubber recoil pad, 6 Lbs. - 11 Oz, The gun lives in an oak & leather case with a Stephen Grant paper trade label with charge card. Case comes with handguard, oil bottles, turnscrews and bore cleaning brush.
