A 16 gauge shotgun with 30” nitro proved dovetail barrels that are fit with ejectors, 2-1/2” chambers, tapered smooth concave game rib and brass front bead. Top of rib near breech is marked "S.R. JEFFERY & SONS LTD. GUNMAKERS GUILDFORD & SALISBURY". Chokes are Improved Modified and Full. Top of the right barrel is roll stamped "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD" while the top of the left barrel is roll stamped "BIRMINGHAM". Barrel flats have Birmingham nitro proof marks. Case color finish boxlock action is adorned with foliate scroll engraving with "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD" on both sides of the action body. Underside of action body is engraved with foliate scrolls. The action body is fit with double triggers protected by blued and engraved trigger guard which extends to a 7/8 length tang that is border engraved and the gun's serial numbers (Webley & Scott & S.R. Jeffery & Sons), top lever is engraved and the left side of the thumb piece is checkered, "SAFE" ahead of the automatic checkered safety slide. Best quality European walnut stock with straight hand grip, two panel checkering and a vacant stock oval. Splinter fore-end with matching checkering and Anson type push button release, 14-1/2" LOP to a checkered scored butt, 5 Lbs. 14 Oz. Gun lives in a single canvas case.
