English built sporting bolt action rifle built on a classic Mauser 98 action that is chambered for the .318 Accelerated Express cartridge. Its blacked 21-3/4” steel barrel is fit with an island base express rear sight with 1 platinum lined standing sight marked "100", 2 folding leaves marked "200" & "300" and a platinum lined ladder graduated to 12, and an island base tipped blade front sight. Top of barrel is marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. LONDON." ahead of the rear sight and a triangle ahead of the front receiver ring. Right rear of the barrel is marked with Birmingham proofs, "318 EX" and "CORDITE 37–250 MAX". Left side of the front receiver ring is Marked with serial number over "WESTLEY RICHARDS" over "318 ACCELERATED" over "EXPRESS" along with original German proof marks & "30037". The receiver is equipped with bases for the Swarovski 3-9x36 A Habicht scope. The bolt shroud has a 3-position Winchester Model 70 type wing safety. The steel floorplate and trigger guard are blacked. The best quality reddish-brown walnut stock with tiger stripe figure has a round knob grip, single recoil crossbolt, bordered checkering and eye for sling. 13-1/4 inch length of pull to a 3/4" Silver's style rubber recoil pad.
