Boxlock ejector 16 gauge game gun with 27" blacked round nitro proved barrels that are fit with ejectors, a tapered smooth concave game rib and a steel bead front sight. Proved for 2-1/2" cartridges and choked improved cylinder & modified. The rib is roll marked "WILLIAM POWELL & SON GUNMAKERS LTD.35.CARRS LANE.BIRMINGHAM." The patina case color hardened action body is adorned with fine English Arabesque scroll engraving. Both sides of the action body are engraved "WILLIAM POWELL & SON". Gold number 2 upon the top lever, rib near breech and forend tip. The action is fit with a blacked engraved top lever with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and automatic safety with gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the scored and engraved safety slide. The double triggers are protected by a blued and engraved trigger guard ending in a long bottom strap with serial number. Best quality walnut stock with straight hand grip, checkered stock panels, English flat top checkering, vacant stock oval and splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release. 14-7/8" LOP to a checkered plastic buttplate, 5 Lbs. - 11 Oz. Gun resides in a single brown vinyl case.
